My name is Pierre-Olivier, and I’m writing this not for myself — but for a dear friend and colleague, Alhasan, a father in Gaza whose strength humbles me every day.

Alhasan has been displaced with his children for 21 months. But it is the last 5 months that have pushed him — and so many like him — to the absolute edge of human endurance.

His home was destroyed. His car was burned. His city is shattered.

Every day, Alhasan walks 1.5 kilometers to fetch water by hand — for drinking, for washing, for basic dignity. There’s no electricity, no regular access to clean water, and no security. But he does it, because his children depend on him.

Food is scarce.

Bread is now a luxury — something they can only afford every three days.

Prices have skyrocketed, and supplies are almost gone. Every day, Alhasan gives up his own share of food so that his children can eat. They are all losing weight, slowly fading under the weight of starvation and stress.

He never complains. But he recently told me:

"We don’t dream of comfort anymore. We just dream of survival."

Aid is being looted. Markets are empty. People are desperate.

To raise emergency funds that will go directly to Alhasan — to help him buy food for his children during these impossible days.
