Hello,
This will be my last post as this seems to have grown stagnant. I do Appreciate all of you who have given so generously. I am so grateful for that that I can't even express it. Although, I have fallen short of my goal. God Bless all of you.
My wife and I have lived in the Valley Forge Towers in King Of Prussia PA going for 10 years. We are an older couple and have been married for almost 30 years which you rarely see anymore. When we were younger we were the couple that turned heads when we walked into a room. Obviously, now that I am 56 and she is 64 that has changed but we are lifers. We love living here very much in this 3 bedroom 2 bath condo, with no stair or lawn maintenance to contend with as we are physically unable anymore, it has been great.
My wife has been sick for the past 5 or 6 years, was bedridden from March till July but with days of severe stomach pains and many times vomiting to the point of just being bile. Last year in March we were on vacation in Florida and she became, even more, serve than normal. Extreme bloating, constipation, and vomiting. She ended up in the Hospital there for about 10 days. Making us extend our stay for over a week. Although I carry good insurance we still accumulated about $6000 in bills. Anyway, she got well enough with no diagnosis to travel home and get back to our doctors. After a bunch of additional tests, and a few more emergency room visits. It was determined she had an intestinal blockage and surgery was the only option. In Jun they removed over 2 feet of her large intestine along with her appendix and diagnosed her with Cohn's. She has basically recovered from surgery and is now getting intravenous treatments, which insurance covers the majority of the $18,629 every 6 weeks.
I know she will be so very mad about me sharing our personal life, but I have run out of options. I would prefer not to share this request with her as she has been very depressed since the diagnosis stress being one of the triggers and when she feels sick we are instructed to go to the emergency room, which we have been twice since June. In depression, I am scared she may try and hurt herself again. I could not live with myself if that happens, so I implore anyone that may know her to not share this as it may put her over the top. She did get some reprieve from the depression with our first grandchild being born on 12/27. Thank God for that. She will always be my guiding light.
With the added medical expenses and the cars being inspected they needed a little over $1000 dollars in repairs to pass. Not to mention hitting a deer after Thanksgiving and a lady clipping my rear quarter on Christmas Eve, I have become behind in a few bills including my rent, which is the largest.
I am in desperate need of funds to pay my landlord. He is demanding 1/2 Nov., All of Dec., and associated late fees. Along with Jan. And late fees by Jan. 6th. Otherwise, his eviction notice is to be out by Jan. 10th. My rent is terrific for where I live only $2100 a month, but the late fees are astronomical at 10% plus $25 a day. This would bring the past due excluding January to $5920. January’s payment on the 6th will be $2425 which I can pay out of my salary. I appreciate all of those who have assisted me so far in being able to collect $1610 of the $5920 needed. All of which has been received has been given to my landlord. Even the smallest of donations are greatly appreciated as they all add up.
I have given him everything received thus far to get the extension, which is very much appreciated, but as each day passes the late fees keep accumulating making it very hard to catch up. I have put off other bills and been very frugal with groceries etc. to provide as much as possible. Any and all amounts help and I am humbly grateful, thank you & God Bless.
I reach out to some family and friends that would usually be able to assist but are unable at this time. I had proposed that one of them would loan me the money that I would pay back in payments every two weeks starting February 3 until the principal plus 15% APR would be paid back.
I will offer the same to anyone with a contribution of $1000 to $4000. I will accept all that I can accumulate with a goal of $6000 to save my home. If not I will need the money to relocate in a short timeframe.
I am usually a very private person but am left with no additional options.
Please share with anyone you believe may be able to assist.
All efforts are appreciated and would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year. God Bless all.
