Emergency Fundraiser:$3300 needed to help Queens fire victim

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Assalamo Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

I have received a request from Islamic International Funeral Services, a highly respected and professional Muslim funeral home, to assist in covering the funeral expenses of our departed brother Mohamed Abdelsalam Zaher, born on March 6, 1958, who tragically passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 67 in a devastating house fire.

This heartbreaking incident took place in Jamaica Estates, Queens, where a fast-moving fire claimed his life and forced other residents to jump out of windows to survive. You can view the tragic coverage of the incident in the links below:

Brother Zaher, originally from Egypt, had no one come forward to cover his funeral expenses. All of his belongings were tragically destroyed in the fire, leaving nothing behind. In this time of need, Brother Usman & Kareem Elmatbagi stepped forward to help with the arrangements, but we, as a community, must now come together to ensure our brother is buried with dignity.

The total amount needed to cover the funeral expenses are $3,300, and we ask for your support in raising these funds as soon as possible.
