Hey, it's Geena. I'm a disabled trans woman currently living in temporary accommodation provided by the Brighton&Hove city council, and waiting for a council flat.

The only income I currently have is Universal Credit. The amount of money I receive monthly is barely enough to survive on, and it doesn't even allow me to keep up with all the household bills. For obvious reasons, I have prioritised my energy & phone/internet bills over others (water and council tax). Because of that, I have been served with a court summons due to unpaid council tax. In order to avoid a court appearance, I have to pay £344 before the due date (15th of October). I find it impossible to afford such an expense in my present situation, which is why I've made this fundraiser.

Ideally, I would like to raise the full amount before the 15th of October, so that I don't have to appear in court on that day. All contributions will be greatly appreciated, and will help me maintain a safe and stable housing situation.
