EMERGENCY funding for Just For Dogs
Due to unforeseen expenses comprising of the following:
We are appealing for urgent donations to help us with these costs as these are on top of our daily running expenses which amount to approximately £2000 a week.
We always strive to raise the funds to run the shelter via donations or fundraising, however, when unexpected events like these occur (they have all happened at the same time) it causes considerable stress on the shelter, dogs, staff & volunteers.
Our charity vehicle has suddenly broken which allows us to collect the dog’s food and transport dogs to veterinary appointments etc. Without this vehicle, we are struggling to complete some the tasks necessary to run our shelter.
One of the drainage pipes on our back block has collapsed, causing disruption to our daily work routine. It has stopped us from using one of our drains, therefore, has increased our daily work load. We have had to rent machinery for over a week to fix this issue, as well as pay for the labour to get it sorted as quick as possible.
One of our air source units has broken. This provides heating and hot water to one of the rescue blocks. This currently means we are low on kennel space and cannot provide heat and hot water to the unit. Without this we are unable to provide the essential care needed for any additional dogs that could arrive at the shelter.
Our dear boy Mowgli, as seen in this image, has spent the past 4 years of his life, if not longer, tied up with no warmth or comfort. He is approx. 10 years old and has recently had to have an urgent dental to remove several teeth due to gingivitis and infection. This has sadly added another estimated £500 to our ever-growing and ongoing veterinary bills.
Any donations are appreciated to help us overcome this difficult financial period. We thank each and every one of you for your ongoing support, whether you can or can’t donate, please share with your friends
