Update: Losing Assistance and Struggling to Keep Up

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an update about what’s happening. I’ve just been notified that I’m being dropped from the SNAP food assistance program, and the low-income energy assistance program I depend on might not be funded this year. Losing both of these lifelines at once is terrifying.

The rising cost of everything—rent, food, gas, electricity—has already made it so hard to stay afloat. Now, without food assistance, I’m having to cover everything out of pocket, and it’s becoming impossible to afford my housing and basic needs. Every dollar feels stretched beyond its limit.

I’m doing everything I can to keep things together, but I need help to get through this. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward groceries, housing, and essential bills.
