URGENT MEDICAL HELP FOR TSEWANG – A 16-YEAR-OLD IN CRITICAL CONDITION

We are humbly asking for your urgent support for Tsewang, a 16-year-old boy who has been fighting for his life for several months. His condition has become extremely complicated, and doctors in Nepal have now exhausted all treatment options. They strongly advised the family to take him to New Delhi, India, for advanced and potentially lifesaving medical care.

A Son of a Great Practitioner

Tsewang is the beloved son of a very high-level tantric practitioner: a deeply respected yogi who has lived in retreat and served countless beings.

Despite his realization and humility, the father now faces a crisis no practitioner should face alone: his child’s life is in danger, and the medical costs have surpassed anything the family can manage.

Supporting Tsewang is also an offering of compassion to a practitioner who has dedicated his entire life to the Dharma, to practice, and to benefitting others.

Tsewang’s Medical Condition:

In mid-July, Tsewang developed severe fever, dizziness, and difficulty breathing while staying at the monastery. What began as mild symptoms quickly became a life-threatening, multi-organ illness:

Timeline of events:

July 16 – First hospital visit; misdiagnosed as viral fever.

July 22 – Breathing became difficult; hospitalized; IV antibiotics started.

• CT Scan findings:

• Fluid around the heart

• Fluid in both lungs

• Fluid in the abdomen

• Multiple enlarged lymph nodes in the mediastinum

• Diagnosed with disseminated tuberculosis.

His condition worsened rapidly:

• Multiple emergency admissions

• Repeated drainage procedures:

• 500 ml from lung

• 1 litre from both lungs

• 3 litres from abdomen

• 2 litres from abdomen

• Most recently 5.1 litres from abdomen

• Severe liver complications from TB medication

• Critically high bilirubin and low protein levels

• Confirmed in lab report from Nov 19: Bilirubin Total 2.52 mg/dL (dangerously high) 

His weight increased from 88 kg to 106 kg

This is not fat — it is dangerous fluid retention.

After 4 months of treatment, the doctors say:

“This is a highly complicated case. He is not responding. He must be taken to New Delhi.”

They can no longer manage his condition in Nepal!
