In November 2019, Suzette was diagnosed with breast cancer. Invasive ductular Carcinoma ER, PR negative and HER2  positive to be exact. She had a double mastectomy in December and Port Placement surgery in January. Beginning in February she started chemotherapy and Herceptin treatments which are still ongoing. And as a result of her treatments, all of her hair has fallen out.

Per doctor orders, Suzette will not be able to work or be around others until June due to her immune system being compromised. And because of the current COVID-19 outbreak, I fear this could be much longer. She also has multiple reconstructive surgeries scheduled following the conclusion of her chemo treatments

Suzette's husband is having difficulty in his job search due to also having to provide care for her and their young children and the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. The children are 7, 5 and 1. Suzette was working full-time as a salaried manager for a cosmetics company and receiving paid medical leave. However, the medical leave was only for 6 weeks so she is no longer receiving a paycheck. The company will not be paying her until she begins work again.

This was the only money the family had to live off. The Lemos family is in dire need of your help. With the current state of the world, I and her family understand it's rough for many out there. As her friend and mentee, I pray that you can find it in your heart to provide support for Suzette and her beautiful family. Let's please show her that she is not alone and that she has many in her corner.
