Emergency Fund for Shayden Jackson

Hi, my name is Matt Jackson, my family and I come to you humbly to ask for help raising funds for our 19 year old daughter Shayden Jackson due to a recent major accident. On Tueday, April 4th, 2023, we received a phone call that no parent or family member ever wants to get, that Shayden was involved in a catastrophic car wreck that left her in very critical condition and clinging to life. To date (04/10/23), she has been on life saving measures for 6 days so far and will still require additional surgeries. While she is currently in stable condition and making small improvements, there is much more uncertainty about her future care long after she leaves the hospital.

Shayden is a beautiful, young, vibrant woman with so much life to live and so much love to give. She's tough and smart and headstrong. She loves her boyfriend immensely and all the pets in the world. Her kind nature and soft spirit have touched many people that have come into her life. She handles herself with grace and integrity and treats others with kindness and respect.

We can't say enough about the love and support we have received from so many people. It has been amazing to see and feel and I know Shayden feels the love and prayers as well.

There is an undeniable fact that the amount of injuries she suffered will require an extensive amount of time and rehab to recover and have some normalcy and quality of life moving forward. She was currently living with her boyfriend. Just a young couple making ends meet and trying to start a life together. Shayden was recently let go from an employer. Oddly enough, it was because she took time to be with someone in the hospital and refused to leave their side. That's our Shay, willing to risk it all to be by their side. She had just started a new job and on her 2nd day home from work, her entire world and the life she knew was changed.

Right now we only know the extent of her injuries. It's a long list that I won't go into. We do not know what insurance will or won't cover or how much she will be left with at this point. We only know this fund is extremely important for her rehab, recovery and aftercare, and overall living expenses moving forward. Shayden will not be able to work for the foreseeable future. She will have to break her apartment lease to be able to live somewhere more accessible to her. Her vehicle was a total loss and she will require things such as a wheel chair, ramp, walker, etc... We're just not sure at this time.

Shayden has the biggest heart so most importantly we ask for your continued prayers and support. It is truly a miracle she survived. We ask you humbly that if you can give to her fund that you will. All proceeds will go to a general fund only accessible to her caregivers for her needs. We understand the goal seems high but considering the extent of her injuries, and the seriousness of her situation, we feel it's appropriate and we know with all your help we can meet and even possibly exceed this goal.
