A tragic fire devastated the home of Olly, Millie and their children last Friday.
Olly and his sons arrived to the catastrophic fire where 10 fire engines were assembling to try to tackle the blaze. Olly ran straight into the burning cottage to rescue their pets. He and his sons were able to resuscitate two of their dogs, who are now in critical veterinary care in Crawley, but sadly it was too late for the other two animals. This has been extremely traumatic for them all and they are deeply distressed about the loss of their animals, and home.
The cottage has burnt down, along with everything inside it.
Any contributions are gratefully received for help towards temporary accommodation, veterinary care, furniture, clothes and personal belongings.
We have set an initial target of £10k as an Emergency Fund but of course this will have to be adjusted as the days go buy and they begin to assess what it will take to rebuild their lives.
Millie and Olly’s priority has been to protect their young child and other young children in the community by focussing on the amazing work the firefighters have done, the vets skillful care, and the whole community coming together to help and support their family. So please do be mindful of this when you see or speak to them.
We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and help from family, friends and the community at a time of great need.
