A Year Of Sickness: Support Jon Kollinger’s Journey to Recovery

For the past year, my son, Jon Kollinger, has shown incredible strength and resilience while facing one medical challenge after another. He has overcome COVID-19 twice, battled the flu twice, and fought pneumonia Three times. This has left him permanently on oxygen which can be devastating to a young, active man. Yet his journey is far from over.

His medical needs cost him his job, and, with no income, his savings is depleted and his financial resources have run out.

His most recent setback followed a surgery last month which resulted in a host of dangerous complications, including blood clots (DVTs and PEs both) and yet another bout of pneumonia. He’s now confined to bed rest and crutches. This, along with being permanently on oxygen creates a difficult reality for someone once so active he’s applied for assistance everywhere possible to no avail. As medical bills and daily expenses pile up, he is about to be evicted and is on the verge of losing his apartment.

The financial toll has been devastating.

With losing his job he has been unable to earn an income. He is confident that he will soon be back on his feet and holding down a job, however he is immediately in need of support to keep his home and have food.
