Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out for support for my dog, Mortimer. He was recently diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), and he urgently needs an MRI and surgery to relieve the pain and prevent permanent paralysis.

This has all happened so fast, he has lost most of his mobility to his left side of his body and the cost of his MRI, surgery, and post-op care is overwhelming and expensive . We’re trying to raise money to cover the medical bills and give Mortimer the best chance at a full recovery.

Mortimer is the funniest, happiest, most amazing best dog I could ever ask for, and it’s heartbreaking to see my little baby in pain. When Mortimer is not in pain, he accompanies me as a psychiatric therapy dog in my psychotherapy practice, snuggling clients, using his tools he has been trained in to calm clients. Mortimer is a very special boy and its heartbreaking to see him not be his happy, healthy, goofy self.
