Emergency Fund for Milwaukee Survivors in Crisis
Donation protected
The death of the former Archbishop Rembert Weakland and how he has been lauded and recognized by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and many media outlets have retraumatized and harmed abuse victims across southeastern Wisconsin. This week alone, dozens of survivors have reached out for help because of the erasure of the direct harm Weakland caused in the public response. I’ve heard from a few people in immediate need because of the mental health crisis this is creating. Some survivors are unable to work or function and need help with food, rent, and medical bills.
I’ve worked with others to start an organization named for a survivor who died by suicide. When I launched Nate’s Mission, I vowed to give everything to make sure it never happened again.
This is why I’m asking for your help for these victims. Please consider making a donation and sharing with your family and friends.
