Dear friends, family, and community,
This morning, our community was struck by a heartbreaking tragedy. Isabella, a bright young girl was tragically hit by a truck while crossing the street to board her school bus.
Right now, Isabella is in critical condition and fighting for her life. She was airlifted from Charlottetown, PEI, to Halifax for emergency medical care, where she remains under intensive treatment. This is an incredibly traumatic and overwhelming moment for her family.
Isabella’s parents, Alexandra and Jesus, moved their three children to PEI from the Dominican Republic just 10 months ago. Like many newcomer families, they have been working incredibly hard to build a foundation, but they do not yet have the financial safety nets or local family support networks to handle a crisis of this magnitude.
We, City Impact Church and the Latinos Association of PEI, have set up this fund to alleviate their financial strain so they can focus entirely on their daughter's recovery.
Your donations will directly cover:
• Medical-related expenses and specialized care.
• Halifax accommodations and travel expenses for her parents.
• Temporary accommodations and meals near the hospital.
• Basic living expenses so her parents can remain by Isabella's bedside without worrying about missed work.
We serve a God of miracles. Scripture reminds us: “There is no greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Let us show that love today through our actions. We stand together in faith and declare over her: “Talitha cumi” — “Little girl, arise.”
Please lift Isabella up in prayer. If you can contribute financially, your generosity will be a lifeline for this family in their darkest hour.
Thank you
