Homeless Outreach emergency fund
Donation protected
For many years a small group of grassroots organizers have been servicing the houseless tent residents underneath the NOMA underpasses and throughout Washington DC. We have had the honor to get to know the people and their stories. This year as our beautiful group of outreach supporters grew we witnessed increased criminalization of those living on the streets and tents of Washington DC. As if the continuous "street sweeps" were not already enough, city employees are rushed to discard people's properties in an attempt to have them disappear for Muriel Bowser’s so-called “Safer and Stronger DC.”
This Year we reach out to followers so we can stuck up on items to continue servicing our houseless community. We do not get paid, or have access to grants, for 4 years we have paid for supplies our selves and were depended on supply donations.
Tent city residents underneath K Street now have to pack up and move their tents to nearby underpasses to continue surviving. Our friends are in dire need of more supplies to help with the move as well as survival during this cold brutal weather. We will stand with our tent city residents and their little Puppy "buttercup" who has been putting a smile on everyone's face living in the tents on the 15th, to assist them with their move and continue providing the support our houseless community in Washington DC needs. You can drop off items at:
