As a result of the wide spread destruction from the Camp fire near Paradise / Magalia California, our dear family friend, Harry Hudson, has been evacuated from his home and is living out of a motel for the foreseeable future. Harry is ninety seven years old. Thankfully, Harry is currently being assisted by his daughter, Kathy Loth, who I am keeping in close contact with. Aside from Kathy, there are no other local relatives or friends to assist Harry at this time.
It is unknown right now if Harry's home has been taken in the fire, but it is very likely so. Harry is the most kindest, generous person you will ever meet. Harry had been a close companion to my wonderful grandmother for many many years and stood steadfast by her side up to the very day she passed away just last year. Harry is an Army and Air Force veteran who served honorably in Word War II and again in the Korean War. My respect and admiration for this man is infinite.
I am respectfully asking all my friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and close acquaintances to please help in providing Harry some much needed financial assistance in this tragic time. I am trying to raise a reasonable goal of $10K; with a minimum donation of $25. However, any amount will help. All funds raised will be sent directly to Harry to assist with his motel, food, living and any other emergency expenses while he awaits word on the status of his home. Given the potential for a total loss, we pray his home survived the brutal fire and he will eventually return back safely.
I realize most of you don't know Harry. But I do know you can understand the magnitude of the destruction and the tragic loss of life that has occurred as a result of this fire. I know we can't help everyone, but I am asking you to please help Harry. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless the brave firefighters and emergency personnel battling this terrible fire and our prayers to all those who are having endure this tragedy.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call or FB message me.
With Gratitude,
Kasim, Amanda and family.
Our prayers are with you Harry.
****** UPDATE 11.17.18: I just received word from Kathy. Harry's house was lost in the fire. Please say a prayer for him. ************

UPDATE 11.16.18: I spoke with Harry and Kathy. Still no word yet on the status of the house. The area is still thick with smoke. Both drove down together yesterday to stay with family in SoCal. Harry is doing okay. Harry and Kathy extend their thanks for all the support being offered. Harry expressed his concern for the "mementos" he has at home, hoping he still has something to return to. We hope so too.
Thank you to all those who have contributed to help Harry. Your concern, support and generosity is heart warming. Please share and encourage others to offer a donation as well.
