Hi, this is Jeff Ranjo, artist and organizer of this fund for Jim Gorham. He's been unhoused for a few months, living out of his truck. Unfortunately, his truck just died. It can be repaired - that's the good news, since used cars are very expensive these days. The bad news is that a blown head gasket needs to be resurfaced or replaced; a water pump and thermostat need to be replaced as well. The cost for all this will be between $4000 and $5000, including labor. This is still better than trying to find a used car at today's prices.

Jim doesn't drive much, so once the car is fixed, it will probably last a long time. Unfortunately, Jim does not have the funds to repair the car, which is also his home.

Can you help by donating to this fund for a felllow artist? Without his truck, Jim has no place to live. Your donation will help give him his home back, as well as a way to get around. Any funds above and beyond the truck repair will be used to help Jim get back on his feet.
