Emergency fund for Brenna

On Saturday, August 5th, Brenna had to evacuate her home with her dog Sprout after an unprecedented flooding event caused by a break in a glacial dam. As the flood waters rapidly rose, the river carved a new path taking out the land and foundation under the entire building. Brenna had a matter of minutes to evacuate and was only able to grab the necessities. The building has now been condemned and no one is permitted to enter the units (her’s is the unit on the third floor suspended over the river).

Brenna grew up in Juneau and just moved back 2 years ago to buy her first home in a community she has roots in. Brenna, like many others in this community, has suffered a devastating loss, and we appreciate any support during this time of great uncertainty.
