Hi! I'm raising funds for the Grahams to support them as they walk through one of the toughest roads a family can walk down.
On April 13th, 2026 their lives changed forever when their 17 year old son Levi was a passenger in a devastating car accident. Thankfully Levi survived the accident, but he sustained a Diffuse Axonal Injury (level 2), which is a serious brain injury that is typically caused by the movement of the brain within the skull during rapid acceleration/deceleration. He is currently in the ICU.
For those of you who know the family, you know the significance that a traumatic car accident has for our dear friends.
What does this mean for Levi? It's hard to say -- this could significantly change his life and independence moving forward, or his brain could heal itself to varying degrees in some or all areas, with both time and intensive therapy over the next ~year. The family has a long road to recovery ahead of them.
Currently we are very thankful for some of the good progress the past few days- Levi is awake for short periods, he is talking, eating, etc. He is much less agitated than before. He rests most of the day. The family isn't having visitors to the hospital at the moment as his brain needs to focus on healing.
We are looking to bless the Graham's with some funds that could help carry them through this unknown period. They may need help with covering the costs of:
- loss of income as they support Levi and take care of all of the logistical tasks with insurance, setting up rehab, etc.
- specialized therapies or medical supplies that may have costs above what is covered
- costs of meals, travel, parking, etc. related to his care
- modification to their home, if needed, to improve his ability to get around once he is discharged
- respite or homecare down the road, if needed
- supports for his parents and 3 siblings
- practical needs
- other unexpected costs that arise
Right now it's too early to have a clear picture of what their needs will be in the coming weeks and months.
If you have the ability to contribute any amount, whether it's $10, $25, $50, $250 or more, please consider doing so, so that finances are not a stressor during this traumatic time. The funds will be directed to his parents, Amy and Tim, as they will be managing his care.
If you cannot contribute financially please send up a prayer for Levi & his family:
- for healing for his brain-- the brain has an enormous capacity to heal and it's important that his brain is able to rewire connections to ensure the different parts of his brain can send messages quickly and smoothly
- to guide his medical team as they help him recover
- for Levi to grasp how deep and wide the love of Christ is during this struggle
- for comfort, peace, patience, and strength for Amy, Tim and Levi's siblings
- for them to know they are not alone as they walk this road
Thank you for your support!
