Emergency Foundation Repair for Our House
Donation protected
Hello, this is Brandon Miller and Laurel Hatfield. We recently moved into our wonderful home in College Park (Orlando, Florida) with our three children. They are able to walk to school and participate in activities in the community locally.
Hurricane Ian was a surprise to us, as we found our house flooded. We replaced the floors and baseboards, as well as dried the house out with the help of our friends, family, and the local water mediation company. While waiting on our insurance to hear about our claim as well as FEMA, we tried as much as we could to afford the necessary repairs.
Hurricane Nicole resulted in more flooding. We had friends and family help set up sandbags to prevent this, but it appears after inspection to be the result of our foundation needing to be stabilized, which costs $11,000. Had we not paid for all the previous repairs and had used our resources to do so, we wouldn’t be asking for donations. But anything you can spare would go a long way in helping us solidify our home.
The aftermath of Ian left Laurel and the children to live in a hotel for almost two weeks while the house dried and the floors were replaced. We are so very fortunate this is not the case again and greatly thank every single person who has helped us thus far. This all goes a long way in helping our children and family achieve the stability it needs.
All funds will go to foundation repairs.
