Emergency for Grogu; Time is of the Essence

This sweet girl is named Grogu, after baby yoda, "because her ears" as our 7 year old would say. Grogu was born 2/18/23 and was kept in a small, poor conditioned environment. When Grogu got to our family there was blood in her feces even though we were told she was a completely healthy dog. We got her all the vaccines and care she needs to grow into the playful puppy we all love in our house. Thursday (12/12) mid day, we noticed she wasn't her playful self, we gave her a new kind of treat that morning and assumed it upset her stomach. We vigorously monitored her and saw she was only getting worse. The morning of 12/13, I took her to the vet to get answers. She got an x-ray and blood work done and all was normal. They prescribed nausea and pain medication and set us on the way. I brought her home and left to get the kids from school, to return to Grogu completely unable to move her back legs and in severe pain. We took her to the emergency vet and they said she needs emergency surgery and to see a neurologist. We were transferred to an emergency hospital in Denver and was told the estimated cost is $10,000- 13,000 plus rehab afterwards. Her prognosis is good, but because her deep pain levels are slowly decreasing, if we don't act fast she may be unable to move her back legs indefinitely. We have already spent over $1000 and now have added expense to travel to denver to see what our future holds.

We aren't ready to lose our family dog and she is still incredibly young with lots of life in her. With me being out of work to care for our youngest of three, we don't have the financial capacity to pay for this type of surgery. We have applied left and right to credit cards and grants but are waiting for approval. If anyone has any extra funds or means to help us/her, please consider it or at least keep us in your heart.
