The entire Zona da Mata region in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, has been severely affected by intense rainfall and devastating flooding in recent days.

A large part of the population has been suffering from this situation, including Anna Carolina's hometown, Juiz de Fora, as well as the cities of Ubá, Matias Barbosa, among others in Zona da Mata, state of Minas Gerais. Entire neighborhoods have been impacted, many families have lost their homes, and they are facing a moment of deep uncertainty. Sadly, there have also been losses of life, and rescue teams continue working while the rain remains a concern for the community. Today we live in Ireland, but Anna Carolina's family, friends, and her entire life story remain there. The whole community needs help. Watching everything unfold from a distance has been very difficult, and I felt that we needed to do something to help.

For this reason, we are organizing this fundraiser with the goal of building a bridge of solidarity, so that people in Ireland and other European countries can contribute through this initiative. We want to connect those who wish to help with those who truly need support, in a safe and responsible way. All funds raised will be directed straight to families who have lost everything, through trusted local friends who are on the front lines in each of these cities, acting with seriousness, responsibility, and genuine commitment to the cause. They closely understand the reality of the affected communities and are monitoring the most urgent needs.

The funds will be used primarily to support families who have lost their homes and need to rebuild their lives. All donations will be used to help families affected by the disaster, with their immediate needs such as food, clean water, clothing, hygiene supplies, and temporary shelter currently being provided by local people. Transparency is essential to us and we will share updates about the transfers and how the funds are being distributed as information becomes available.
