Severe flooding has devastated Montería and several surrounding rural communities (veredas) in Córdoba, Colombia. More than 40,000 families have been affected by this disaster. Many have lost their homes, their belongings, their sources of income, and even access to food and clean drinking water. Entire communities are now struggling to survive, with families sleeping in shelters or crowded into relatives’ homes, without the most basic needs.

My name is Andrea Gulfo, and I was born and raised in Montería. Although I no longer live there, seeing my hometown suffer through this devastating emergency breaks my heart. Montería is not just a place on the map for me, it is where my family, my memories, and my roots are. Watching thousands of families lose everything they worked for in a matter of days is something I cannot ignore.

From where I am now, I am doing everything I can to help. This fundraiser is my way of standing with my people, even from far away. I am raising funds to provide immediate, life-saving support to families in Montería and nearby rural communities who have been directly impacted by these floods.

This is a personal, community-led initiative. Every donation will go directly toward urgent, practical relief for families affected by the floods, including food, clean drinking water, medicines, hygiene kits for individuals and households, diapers, baby and adult clothing, mattresses and sleeping mats, tents, hammocks, cooking gas cylinders, and other essential supplies needed for daily survival and dignity. Whenever possible, we will source these items from local providers to support the local economy while delivering immediate aid.
