Our friend and neighbor, Tim Moffett, lost his home in Amherst County, VA the night of 4/19 due to a fire. For almost ten years, Tim has lived off the grid in a small camper near the Piney River. Tim is illiterate and disabled and lives on a meager government disability stipend. He is a spiritual man who has lived independently with no family or savings to help him. He has doctor bills and medications that further deplete his income. Needless to say, he is desperate and homeless! Our goal is to keep Tim where he is.
We need to remove his old camper, purchase a new used one, and get him set up to live in the only spot he knows as home. We are setting a goal of $7,000 to accomplish all he needs.
