Emergency Fire Relief for the Flores Family

Hi, i’m the eldest daughter of the Flores Family and I have lived in this home since I was 4 years old. On Tuesday, December 16th, at around 3:00 a.m., our lives changed in a matter of moments.

I was awake and getting ready to go to bed when I suddenly smelled something burning. As I looked around, I noticed black smoke coming through the air vents, and then our fire alarm started going off. I immediately woke up my sister and rushed with her to wake up my parents and my brother so we could get out of the house as quickly as possible.

When we stepped outside, my dad began investigating where the smoke was coming from and discovered that a fire had started in the garage/storage area. The fire spread very quickly, reaching our kitchen, living room and part of the master bedroom. My dad rushed us all outside while my mom called 911.

The firefighters arrived and worked for hours to put out the fire. They didn’t finish until around 6–7 a.m.

We have been told that we cannot return home for 6 to 9 months.

This has been an incredibly difficult for our family, especially financially. We were already struggling, and now things are even harder. My dad and I are currently not working, and my mom does not work at this time. We are asking for help to cover food, hotel expenses, and basic hygiene necessities while we try to get through this unexpected crisis.

We truly believe God is our provider, and we trust that He moves through the kindness and generosity of others.

Ayuda de Emergencia por Incendio para la Familia Flores

Hola, soy la hija mayor de la familia Flores y he vivido en este hogar desde que tenía 4 años. El martes 16 de diciembre, alrededor de las 3:00 de la madrugada, nuestras vidas cambiaron en cuestión de momentos.

Estaba despierta y preparándome para ir a dormir cuando de repente comencé a oler algo quemándose. Al mirar a mi alrededor, noté humo negro saliendo por las rejillas de ventilación y luego la alarma contra incendios comenzó a sonar. Inmediatamente desperté a mi hermana y corrí con ella a despertar a mis padres y a mi hermano para poder salir de la casa lo más rápido posible.

Cuando salimos al exterior, mi papá comenzó a investigar de dónde provenía el humo y descubrió que el incendio había comenzado en el garaje/área de almacenamiento. El fuego se propagó muy rápidamente, alcanzando la cocina, la sala y parte del dormitorio principal. Mi papá nos sacó a todos de la casa mientras mi mamá llamaba al 911.

Los bomberos llegaron y trabajaron durante horas para apagar el incendio. No terminaron hasta aproximadamente entre las 6 y 7 de la mañana.

Nos han informado que no podremos regresar a nuestro hogar durante 6 a 9 meses.

Esta situación ha sido increíblemente difícil para nuestra familia, especialmente en lo económico. Ya estábamos pasando por dificultades y ahora todo es aún más complicado. Actualmente, mi papá y yo no estamos trabajando, y mi mamá no trabaja en este momento. Estamos pidiendo ayuda para cubrir alimentos, gastos de hotel y necesidades básicas de higiene mientras tratamos de superar esta crisis inesperada.

Creemos firmemente que Dios es nuestro proveedor y confiamos en que Él obra a través de la bondad y la generosidad de los demás.
