Emergency Financial Help during crises

My name is Elisa this has been our journey this year. Our financial situation is desperate right now. 

We will be evicted by December 31st and are in need of funds to move and pay for deposits in a new home and moving expenses. 

My husband has had a series of mini strokes this year in addition to Covid with complications and kidney infections and MRSA in his leg. But it’s the “Mini” strokes that have caused the most damage. They call them mini strokes, but they can cause a lot of damage depending on the area of brain affected. You wouldn’t know it by looking at him, except for the slight shuffling of his feet.

But his cognitive abilities have been greatly effected. His thought process, decision making skills and forgetfulness. Because of this, he has made unforgiving financial decisions and we cannot pay our rent.

He’s been on unemployment ever since he was let go “from his job of 25 years”after one of his strokes and I’m disabled. So our monthly income was very limited as it was. His retirement will begin at the end of December. Too late for this month or December’s rent. We have already been served an Eviction Notice and need to pay the rent ASAP or we could be homeless.

All this has caused me tremendous stress and anxiety attacks and migraines to where I had to go to the ER.
