Urgent Help Needed – Please Read & Share

Hi, my name is Ashleigh, and asking for help like this is not something I ever imagined doing. But right now, my family and I are facing an incredibly difficult situation, and we have nowhere else to turn.

For years, we struggled with financial debt, but through hard work and perseverance, we were finally able to get back on our feet. Then COVID hit. My mother and I both had our hours cut, and eventually, we lost our jobs as businesses in our small town couldn’t stay afloat. Despite our best efforts, we fell behind on rent, and now we owe approximately $7,500.

Our apartment management has been patient with us—until now.

Just last week, disaster struck again. A fireline broke in the apartment above us, flooding our unit and making it uninhabitable. We were temporarily placed in a hotel, but a few days ago, our landlord told us we had to move back in—even though our apartment is still unlivable. When we refused, they gave us an ultimatum: pay the full amount by February 10th or face eviction and legal action.

My mother and I are both working again, but we simply cannot come up with that amount in time. What keeps me up at night the most is my daughter. This is the only home she has ever known. I am terrified of what will happen if we lose it.
