Last week, it was a squinty left eye. Probably no big deal, I thought. We visited Modern Animal and walked out with a diagnosis to remove the eyeball.
This week, we got a second opinion at Eye Care for Animals - Pasadena. We got a third opinion at Veterinary Eye Clinic Alhambra. Both recommended emergency eye surgery to help Jack keep his eye. And keep his vision.
It was a stressful decision. Removing the eyeball would have been the easy way out. But he had a chance at a successful surgery. And it was successful! He'll be able to see in his final years. Asking for a bit of help paying off the $7961.68 invoice for Intracapsular Lens Extraction OS.
Medications:
- Prednisolone acetate 1%
- Dorzolamide 2%
- Terramycin
- Sodium Chloride 5%
- Prednisone 5mg
- Gabapentin 50mg
Jackie says he would also appreciate any treats with 8% or less crude fat. Lots of scratches and pets would be nice too!
