Love and Support for the Waterhouse Family

Dear Family, Friends and Neighbors,

This week our family gathered for vacation at the beach on Galveston Island. While we were there, our brother Andy, had a terrible accident and is fighting to recover.

Andy’s body is fighting and here is what we know:

July 4, Andy had to be Care Flighted to the hospital here in Galveston.

Andy has a broken pelvis, tail bone, a broken arm and shattered wrist, all of which will require extensive surgeries. Andy also has very bad trauma to his stomach and intestines.

He has already endured 4 surgeries, including a surgery to remove part of his colon to stop internal bleeding. He will not be able to bear any weight for at least three months.

Right now, he and Kim are 5 hours away from home. They will be here for at least a week, possible two.

He cannot be transferred until his body is stable or an opening becomes available in a hospital closer to home.

His recovery time is unknown, but it will be a very long road ahead for them.

Due to the nature and severity of his trauma, there are so many needs. We are needing help, love and support for Andy and Kim, as well as their 3 children.

We all love them so much and your prayers and support are vital to helping this wonderful family, through these tough times.
