I have been back at work part-time for 2.5 years at McDonald's after 15 years retired. They have cut back my hours over the last year. I have applied to other places, but my possible hours part-time might be a problem. I am making less than half of what I made the first year. A series of expenses has made it impossible to stay out of further debt problems. I'm not poor, just unlucky. Emergency vet bills for our 3-year-old German Shepherd rescue, huge dental bill for my wife, furnace problems, car problems, and so on. All in the last year or so. This is a last resort for me.
