Help Us Build a Bigger, Safer Shelter for the Dogs of Lightning Ridge

Lightning Ridge Animal Welfare is dedicated to giving every dog in our care a second chance at a happy, healthy life. But right now, we’re running out of space. Our shelter is at capacity, and more dogs are coming in every week — some abandoned, some surrendered, some rescued from neglect.

We urgently need to extend our shelter to create more secure kennels, shaded runs, and comfortable resting areas so that every dog can have a safe place to recover, receive care, and wait for their forever home.

Adding more shaded areas to protect dogs from the harsh weather

Expanding play and socialisation spaces to improve wellbeing

Upgrading fencing for safety and security
