Emergency evacuation funds for Mariam's family in Gaza

Donation protected
Hello.. I am Mariam Ashraf Salama. I am 21 years old. I am supposed to finish studying the penultimate level of media and communication technology at the University College of Applied Sciences. But the war destroyed everything, so I have nothing left except university memories and friends. I even lost most of my friends and comrades. Successes at university and I was left without a home or companions, left in a small tent that could not accommodate my dreams or my exhausted soul. --UPDATE! : Mariam has been infected with hepatitis now as a result of the poor health situation in Gaza and there being absolutely no medications for hepatitis her evacuation has become critical.--

The war did not only destroy my city. I lost my beloved father on February 2, 2024. He was a kidney failure patient who needed to receive dialysis sessions at a rate of 12 hours a week. However, due to the war and the withdrawal of many hospitals in the Gaza Strip from service, he began to receive treatment at a rate of 4 hours a week. What caused him this? Very major complications and the lack of treatments for calcium, blood levels, and healthy foods caused him great suffering, which ended with his blood levels reaching less than 6. My family and I were unable to help him, even in a small way, so he was unable to go out for treatment outside the Gaza Strip, or even receive treatment to the required degree, so he died after struggling. He was in pain and I was unable to save him, leaving us alone to struggle with a very difficult life.

Because we lost my father, we have to bear a great responsibility in a very difficult time full of suffering, and it is difficult to provide ourselves with a safe life in light of the continuing threat from the occupation with continued war, destruction and killing. I did not stop dreaming and began posting on my Instagram account about the suffering of people in Gaza and helping a few of them. As much as possible, I have felt the pain of loss since then, mixed with great helplessness. I want to help my family and relieve them of suffering, as my heart cannot bear another loss or to see them die in front of me.

I was supposed to start making my own podcast and continue with the achievements, as the media was my life and I was not satisfied with the achievements for a day, but the war left me no room for anything but grief and prayers for the tragedy to end and for me to continue on the path to achieving the dream. Mahmoud, my only brother, is supposed to finish his university education and achieve great achievements, and Manal, our spoiled little girl, accompanied me. Successes are supposed to be in the classroom at her school.

I will never forget the suffering of the children. I have two married sisters, each of whom has two young children, the eldest of whom is Yamen. He was happy that he started studying in school, but his bag became a means of moving from one place to another in search of survival, carrying in it what clothes he was able to take, leaving his colors and toys in the middle of the destruction, as well as Yazan, Muhammad, and Ahmed, who He was born a short time before the war, but today he has grown up amidst the destruction, between the tents of pain, and I fear that he will take his first step into this great destruction.

The least right is to live in safety, and our right in Gaza costs thousands of dollars in order for us to survive and leave it in search of salvation, and our great fear of the genocide that began gradually in Rafah, and I repeat it, my heart can no longer bear the loss.

I seek to travel with my entire family, and my travel from Gaza does not mean I will leave it, as my voice will continue to shout the truth, rejecting war, destruction and killing, as we have a cause and a right.

Your support is crucial in helping me raise the necessary funds to evacuate my family from Gaza, offering them a chance at survival amidst this ongoing genocide. Your contribution transcends mere financial aid; It signifies hope, resilience, and the affirmation of our own life.

With profound gratitude
Mariam Salama.
