Help Abdullah and his family evacuate from Gaza

Hello, my name is Salma, I'm 24 years old, from Egypt. I organized a campaign to help my friends leave Gaza, along with their families, with the assistance of my friend Ahmed who lives in Belgium.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the occupation forced its residents to leave their homes and seek refuge elsewhere, and my friends were among them. They were forced to leave their home twice in northern Gaza in search of safety in southern Gaza, but the south was also unsafe. Then, the attacks intensified in southern Gaza on January 23rd, and they found themselves again in the midst of chaos and danger, and were forced to flee to Rafah.

Unfortunately, Rafah is now one of the most unsafe areas in Gaza, so I want your help to assist my friends and their families in leaving Gaza.

- Omar Owda, 20 years old, second year university student, studying English literature at Al-Quds Open University.

- Mohammed Owda, 22 years old, fourth year student majoring in computer information systems at Al-Quds Open University.

- Abdullah Owda, 24 years old, studying sociology at Al-Quds Open University, and used to work as an accountant at Zahrani restaurants and at the Haydar Abdel-Shafi Cultural and Development Foundation.

- Alaa Owda, 26 years old, an English teacher, graduated from the English Education Department at the Islamic University.

- Their parents

It's worth noting that all the mentioned areas have been bombed.

They are overwhelmed with feelings of despair and sorrow, as hopes of leaving and seeking a better life outside Gaza have vanished, yet they find themselves trapped in a heart-wrenching reality. Their eyes reveal a strong desire to escape this painful reality, but financial constraints prevent them from doing so, exacerbating their suffering and fueling a longing for a better and safer life beyond Gaza's borders.

The cost of evacuating from Gaza is $5000 per person, and with 6 people, the total cost amounts to $30,000 (considering fluctuating prices).

  • The money will be transferred from Ahmed Ayad's account to me via MoneyGram using my personal ID. After that, both me and their aunt, who also lives in Egypt, will go to pay for their travel expenses. Then, after paying for their travel expenses, they will come to Egypt after a few days.

I sincerely hope that we can provide assistance to help them out of this difficult situation and return to a safe and stable life. I cannot imagine the extent of their endurance through this ordeal, which is why I appeal to you for help and solidarity in these challenging circumstances. Donations are crucial to saving them as soon as possible.

Today is the 156th day since the outbreak of the war, and we are still here in Rafah. With each passing day, hope gradually fades away. The tents gathering around us bear witness to the cruelty we face, and the continuous shelling deprives us of tranquility and safety. Displacement has become part of our daily lives. Nevertheless, we continue to endure and cling to hope, awaiting a new day that brings peace, safety, and the opportunity to leave for Egypt.
