I never thought I’d be in this position again so soon, but I’m reaching out for help for my beautiful girl, Charlie.
Charlie was diagnosed with mega colon in 2020,
which means she struggles to pass stools on her own.
Despite daily medication, which is extortionately expensive, we’ve reached a point where she sometimes needs emergency procedures to relieve blockages — something we’re currently facing again right now, and an emergency weekend vet visit is looking likely.
It was only in January this year when she needed an emergency procedure, and I just don’t have the £600 needed for another one at such short notice.
This fundraiser is to create a care fund for Charlie — to cover urgent treatments like this, ongoing management, and when the time comes, to give her the most peaceful and dignified goodbye she deserves.
Anyone who knows me knows how much she means to me. She’s been my comfort, my constant, my girl.
She is one of the most special and treasured parts of my life.
She - and my boy Billy - have gotten me through the darkest, most painful times of my life, and I can’t stand being in this position, where I need to seek help, to get her the help she needs.
It’s overwhelmingly emotional and stressful, not to mention humiliating, but I’ve been doing everything I can on my own for so long.
With the rising cost of living and a difficult few years financially, I just can’t manage this time around.
It is breaking me to see my girl
struggle and sleep is non existent.
If you’re able to help in any way — even just sharing this — it would mean more than I can put into words.
Thank you for reading, and for caring.
❤️
