Hi everyone,

I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but I am asking our community to come together for someone who is currently living through a nightmare — and fighting to survive.

A close friend of mine recently endured a severe domestic violence attack that resulted in serious injuries and hospitalization. This happened within the last 48 hours, and she is extremely fortunate to be alive. Due to the severity of the situation and ongoing safety concerns, she is currently under protection while she receives medical care.

At this time, she has no safe place to go, no access to her belongings, and no immediate way to rebuild what was taken from her.

She is facing urgent, time-sensitive needs — including the risk of losing the few personal belongings she has left due to an unpaid storage unit bill that must be handled within the next 10 days. If it is not paid, she will lose everything inside.

In addition to this, she will need support for basic necessities once she is able to begin the next steps of recovery, including clothing, hygiene items, food, safe temporary housing, transportation, and help rebuilding stability from the ground up.

She also has two Emotional Support Animals (ESA dogs) who are a critical part of her healing and recovery, and we are working to ensure they can be safely reunited and cared for during this time.

Funds raised will go toward immediate emergency needs such as:

• Safe temporary housing and relocation support

• Storage unit payment to prevent loss of belongings

• Clothing and basic essentials

• Hygiene and personal care items

• Food and daily necessities

• Transportation needs

• Support for her ESA dogs (food, supplies, temporary care, and reunification costs)

Because this is an ongoing and sensitive situation, specific identifying details are being withheld for safety reasons and due to an active investigation.

We are hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover these urgent needs and give her a chance to begin again with support instead of fear.
