The surgery has been quoted so far at 1,500. This includes his IV, anesthesia, needles, teeth extractions and medication for after. It is anticipated Tortito will have no teeth after this surgery.

I feel sad and stressed that Tortito has been going through this and that if left untreated it will become infected and slowly move to his stomache as well causing more infection within his gums.  Tortito had just turnt 10 years old in September and is in excellent shape and we believe with this surgery it will set the rest of his life up for success.

We are hoping to have this booked within the next 2 weeks so the infection can not continue to spread and get worse. 

Tortito has been with me for many years of my life, he is a staple to whom I come home to at night and keeps me loving company. I would be at such an emotional and spiritual lose without him. 

It is very difficult for me to ask for help - but today Tortito and I ask for it.

I will be keeping progress, posting photos and more information once I get to it all. 

Today has been a rollercoaster and getting this started is a first step.

Update : I have updated the goal total to 2000. I simply have done this because the price of surgery went has went up as we had to switch vets. Having this new projection will allow  tortito to have after care supplies comfortably and make sure he is well tended to after surgery.  There may be a few expensive foods and medication tortito will need after that was not included in the estimate as well as his bloodwork etc. I hope this is okay.
