Hi, my name is Morgan! I am a humane law enforcement officer with the Humane Society. Back in March, I attended a call for a 3-month-old puppy that was thrown out of a moving vehicle and was then hit by a car. He suffered a jaw fracture in 3 different places. The Humane Society performed the Modified Labial Button Technique and was able to wire his mouth closed in order to help his jaw heal. After months of treatments, rechecks, and recovery, his jaw was finally strong enough to have the buttons removed. These days, he is thriving and enjoying chewing on all of his favorite toys. The only problem is his teeth are in bad shape from the trauma he suffered from his accident. One tooth is growing into the roof of his mouth, some of his molars have erupted but are no longer growing, and all of his lower incisors are rotting. This means Buttons needs a pretty extensive dental procedure. I took him to the dog dentist and received a quote of up to about $3,100. Due to pre-existing medical debt for my other dog with cancer, I cannot afford to start another line of credit for this procedure. I have also been denied financial assistance from other organizations. I've started this fundraiser in hopes of raising enough money to provide Buttons with proper treatment and relieve him from his pain.

An update as of 9/12/23: he is refusing to eat his food unless soaked and mushy, and after taking a treat at the vet on Tuesday, his gums started bleeding. He is panting, whining, and pacing around the house which tells me he is in pain. I need to have an "emergency" dental scheduled. Any help would be SO much appreciated!! Thank you!
