I’m Arechan! I’ve been making webcomics for Webtoon since 2014 and I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant! Two weeks ago I went to the dentist for a routing dental clean-up and my dentist found that I needed to get root canal treatment for two of my molars, two new crowns and a full Periodontitis treatment on all of my gums.
Usually my insurance covers most of it, but they only covered up-to $15,000, the rest it’s out of pocket. Which brought the total to $3935, plus another $1,148 that I already had in that line of credit for another dental work I had done two years ago.
This wouldn’t be so much of a problem at any other time in my life, but being so close to my expected delivery date, I also have to consider that the cost of delivery my baby could be around that much and all of this debt puts me beyond what I can afford now, especially since I’m in an in-between period between contracts.
So, I’m opening 4 slots of monthly emergency commissions along with this campaign for donations to help alleviate some of the burden form this medical debt. Soy Arechan. Llevo creando webcómics para Webtoon desde el 2014 y actualmente tengo 30 semanas de embarazo. Hace dos semanas fui al dentista para una limpieza dental de rutina y se descubrió que necesitaba un tratamiento de conducto en dos de mis muelas, dos coronas nuevas y un tratamiento completo de periodontitis en todas mis encías.
Normalmente mi seguro cubre la mayor parte, pero solo cubrió hasta $15,000 USD; el resto lo tengo que pagar de mi bolsillo. Esto elevó el total a $3,935 USD, más otros $1,148 USD que ya tenía en esa línea de crédito por otro tratamiento dental que me hicieron hace dos años.
