Our family’s beloved Chihuahua is only seven years old, but he’s already facing a painful dental crisis that puts his health and his life at risk.

When he was still a puppy, he chipped one of his teeth. Over the years, that tooth decayed and eventually rotted away, and now the infection and plaque have spread to the rest of his mouth. He has already lost one of his canine teeth, and more are at risk if we don’t act soon.

He may be small, but he means the world to us. He’s been my mom’s loyal companion for years, always by her side, and he deserves to live without constant pain. Dental disease isn’t just about bad teeth it causes terrible discomfort and can spread bacteria to the heart, kidneys, and other organs. Without urgent treatment, his condition will only get worse.

The only way to save him is through professional veterinary dental care, which will include x-rays, cleaning, and likely multiple extractions. The cost is overwhelming anywhere from $600 to over $1,000 depending on how much work is needed. Unfortunately, due to difficult circumstances, my mom cannot afford this life-saving care on her own.
