Oak is an 18-week-old baby I adopted at the beginning of May. Mid-June, he started having diarrhea and vomiting, and then he stopped eating. We did an exploratory surgery, lymph node biopsy, bloodwork, medications, and prescription food. Saturday night, he got sick again, and he’s back at the vet. He needs additional testing and possibly another surgery. His intestines are inflamed and angry, and without care, I’m not sure what could happen.

I hate asking for donations, but if anyone could help, that would be amazing. I have reached my limit of credit, and unfortunately, I didn’t add him to my pet insurance plan earlier as he was just a baby. I am not sure what my next steps would be, which prompted me to set this up. He’s the sweetest baby, and he deserves the world.

7/7/25 update: Oak will need to get an ultrasound with biopsies which will cost around $800 for the ultrasound and 300-500 for the biopsy. Depending on how he does in the next 3-4 hours he may need surgery or additional hospitalization at the ER vet so a lot is still up in the air. Thank you everyone who has donated ❤️

7/13/25 update: Oak has had an ultrasound to determine what’s been happening. The ultrasound found his lymph nodes are still extremely inflamed and his intestines are also very inflamed, with an enlarged cecum. He is doing antibiotics as well as panacur incase they missed something in his fecal tests. After this round of antibiotics we will take updated X-rays and potentially go into further tests to see if he has a malabsorption problem or if something else is going on. He’s on a LID diet of venison and other novel proteins, he’s still had some diarrhea so we aren’t out of the woods yet.
