We are reaching out to ask for help for Tanner & Lydia Liubakka’s sweet dog, Puck. They are looking for support as they care for him through a painful and urgent medical emergency.

Puck has developed a severe corneal ulcer, which is at risk of rupturing. Tanner and Lydia rushed him to the ER vet where they were told the damage is serious, but there is hope. With immediate care from a veterinary ophthalmologist and surgical intervention, his eye can likely be saved. After meeting with the ophthalmologist in Minneapolis, Puck is receiving a series of eye drops, serum, and topical antibiotics every hour, as well as pain medication and oral antibiotics to treat the infection that rapidly developed. After the infection is treated, Puck will need a corneal graft to fully heal the ulcer. It is unclear at this point if Puck has vision in his eye; if he doesn’t, it will unfortunately need to be removed.

They are doing everything they can, but the cost of emergency treatment and the upcoming operation is overwhelming. This fundraiser will go directly to Puck’s medical bills, covering the emergency vet visit and the specialized surgery he needs to heal and keep his eye. It’s heartbreaking to see Puck in pain, and Tanner and Lydia are doing everything they can to make sure he gets the care he needs.
