Emergency care for Leo Barknick

Our sweet boy Leo is a dedicated lifelong chewer, and last thursday while we were putting groceries away he snagged a brand new bottle of Aleve off the counter. By the time we noticed, he was out on the balcony and had chewed the bottle open and eaten every last one of the gelcaps. Aleve and most over the counter human painkillers are extremely toxic to dogs. We rushed him to the vet and since then have been on a rollercoaster of treatments, and pills, and everything we can do to save his life, and after blood transfusion #1 his condition has worsened, he has developed a fever. We are starting blood transfusion #2 and antibiotic this morning (2/26/20) and are hoping that he improves after this round. 

This fund will help provide for his continued medical care, he is currently in the hands of Access Hospital in Torrance, and we are visiting and spending as much time with him as we can.
