We are currently in the middle of a veterinary emergency affecting multiple cats we’ve taken in to provide care for. Outside of making comedy sketches like "When your House is Haunted but Rent is Cheap" I help the locals with their cats or provide care to strays.

My mother took in 4 outside cats during a cold snap, and one morning while cleaning the cat boxes she discovered an unconscious 1-year-old cat, she was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with feline panleukopenia (parvo). She arrived in critical condition — hypothermic, severely immunocompromised, and requiring intensive care, IV fluids, antibiotics, and constant monitoring. She remains hospitalized.

In just the first 24 hours, I have already spent over $5,900 on emergency treatment.

The projected total for her hospitalization alone is estimated to reach $8,000–$15,000, depending on how she progresses over the next several days.

Because this virus is highly contagious and the cats shared spaces and boxes, three additional cats are now showing early signs and require immediate veterinary evaluation, testing, supportive care, and possibly hospitalization.

We are doing everything we can to give them a fighting chance. Parvo can be survivable with aggressive treatment, but the costs escalate quickly — diagnostics, bloodwork, IV fluids, medications, isolation care, and round-the-clock monitoring.

So far, the $5,900 has been paid on lines of credit. I do not have the ability to cover the remaining projected expenses, and additional care for the other cats will add to that burden.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Covering the $5,900 already spent

• Paying for the continued ICU hospitalization

• Providing immediate care for the three at-risk cats

• Supporting any additional treatment needed to prevent further suffering
