Emergency Medical Care for Baxter
I am reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for help for our beloved boy, Baxter. On Sunday, what started as a perfectly normal day quickly turned into a terrifying medical nightmare.
Without warning, Baxter began experiencing severe bloody diarrhea. Within minutes, it became clear that this wasn't just an upset stomach—he was losing a dangerous amount of blood. Watching him go through this was devastating, and we knew we had to act immediately to save his life.
The Diagnosis & Treatment
We rushed Baxter to Urgent Vet Care in Auburn, where the veterinary team acted quickly. He was diagnosed with HGE (Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis), a sudden and life-threatening condition that causes rapid dehydration and internal blood loss.
To give Baxter a fighting chance, he required:
-Immediate emergency stabilization
-Aggressive IV fluid therapy
-Intensive monitoring and diagnostic testing
-Medications to stop the bleeding and prevent sepsis
Why We Need Your Help
As many pet owners know, emergency veterinary care is as costly as it is vital. While we are doing everything in our power to provide Baxter with the treatment he needed in order to come home. The unexpected financial burden of emergency hospitalization is significant.
