The Last Brumbies — Exposing the Truth & Fighting for Their Survival
Emergency Brumby Rescue & Investigation Fund.
*To ensure complete transparency, we will regularly post video updates and digital receipts to both our social media channels and this GoFundMe page.*
This campaign is led by Wildcore Philanthropy — the grassroots, boots-on-the-ground conservation initiative of Wildcore.
We operate independently, in the field and in real time — documenting conditions, raising awareness, advocating for accountability, conducting rescue efforts, and providing care where it’s needed most.
This is not a distant organisation.
This is hands-on, frontline work.
Right now, in Kosciuszko National Park, thousands of wild brumbies face large-scale culling.
Aerial and ground operations are already underway.
These horses — part of Australia’s heritage — are being removed based on population estimates that many believe require independent verification.
There is currently no independent count.
No full transparency.
And no time to wait.
What We Are Doing
- We are launching an immediate, real-world response to document and bring visibility to what is happening:
- Conducting an independent aerial headcount using helicopters
- Deploying a professional film crew to capture real-time conditions
- Producing a feature Youtube documentary to bring national and global attention
- Launching media and advertising campaigns to ensure this cannot be ignored
- Helping trapped brumbies go to rehomers and sanctuaries
How the $100,000 Will Be Used
To ensure full transparency, funds will be allocated across two critical areas:
- $50,000 — Sanctuary Support (12 Months) Chosen - Cooma Mountain Brumby Sanctuary
Providing a full year of feed, fencing, machinery and care for rescued brumbies to chosen sanctuary
- $50,000 — Investigation & Awareness
Funding helicopter aerial surveys, professional filming, and national media and advertising campaigns to independently document and bring visibility to what is happening. PARTNERING with The Opportunists Agency
⚖️ Why This Matters
If population numbers are inaccurate, the scale of the cull is inaccurate.
Without independent verification, decisions are being made without full transparency — and once these horses are gone, they cannot be brought back.
This is about:
- Accountability
- Ethical management
- Protecting a living part of Australia’s heritage
This Is Time Sensitive
Operations are already underway.
What happens in the coming weeks will determine the fate of thousands of animals.
We cannot delay.
How You Can Help

Every heartbeat deserves compassion & protection
From all of us at Wildcore Philanthropy, thank you for taking the time to read this.
As a grassroots, boots-on-the-ground initiative, this mission is deeply personal to us. We are witnessing what’s happening in real time, and we cannot stand by without taking action.
If you’re in a position to support, even in a small way, your contribution directly helps protect these horses and bring transparency to what is unfolding.
And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign can make just as much impact.
Every act of support matters — and together, we can make a difference when it matters most!
