Emergency Assistance for Lydia Fernandez Bishop
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Veronica. I created this campaign to raise emergency funds for my aunt Lydia. All donations will assist with:
- Medical co-pays
- Medical deductibles
- Groceries
- Utilities
- Gasoline
Lydia’s primary source of income is social security retirement. She supports her disabled son and her granddaughter. To make ends meet she supplements her income by driving for a ride share company.
Lydia recently fell and broke the humerus in her left arm. After receiving emergency care and orthopedic care she learned she will not need surgery, but she will not be able to drive for an estimated six to eight weeks. While she cannot drive Lydia needs financial assistance for medical co-pays and deductibles, groceries, utilities, and gas.
I am asking for your support because Lydia has a kind heart and has never hesitated to help those around her. I am hoping in this time of need that family, friends and other caring individuals will open their hearts to help my aunt. I will be grateful for your assistance, and I know Lydia will too.
I will mention one of the many ways Lydia has helped and supported me so that you understand a little bit about her kind-heartedness and why I want to help her now. I went to college in Kansas City and made the long drive back and forth several times a year. Lydia was living in Dallas then and her home always served as a stopping point and hostel for me and any friends that I happened to be traveling with. Given that we were art students our outward appearance was not always 'conventional'. It would have been easy to judge by outward appearances and decide to not let us stay at her home. Yet, Lydia completely opened her home to my friends without hesitation even though she did not know any of them. I will always be grateful that her home was our almost mid-point base because we did not have money to stop at a hotel. Staying at Lydia's home meant that our 14-hour drive was much safer.
