Emergency assistance for Lily and her mum Robyn

Hi all, one of our Geepers, Lily, is very unwell and has been in Murdoch Vet ICU for several days. Her mum Robyn phoned me in despair. The vet bill has surpassed $10,000 and she has had to take Lily home as she has borrowed all she can and has run out of options. To make matters worse, Robyn has been going between Murdoch Vet ICU and SJOG ICU where her husband is recovering from a heart valve replacement after falling unconscious while riding his bike. Her husband has casual employment so with mounting bills and no income, she is desperate. Lily is 8 years old and Robyn found her on Gumtree 6 and a half years ago. Lily is Robyn's third rescue GSP. This is also Lily's 3rd major illness and the specialist vet is thinking it could be some sort of auto-immune issue and Lily is suffering from acute on chronic severe gastritis. The pet insurance have said this episode is "pre existing" and are not willing to cover any of the costs. I know times are tough for us all but if anyone is able to contribute in any way, Robyn will be so appreciative. Hug your fur babies x
