My name is Jo and together with my friend Abbie, we are setting up this fundraiser because Jade and her family urgently need support during this incredibly emotional and deeply difficult time.

Jade is just 33 years old and is currently fighting for her life in intensive care in Tenerife after falling critically ill with meningitis.

Jade is a devoted mum to little Skyla, as well as a much loved daughter, sister, girlfriend and friend. She is the heart of her family, and right now she needs every bit of love and support we can give.

This has come as a devastating shock to her family and everyone who loves her. Seeing someone so full of life become critically ill is heartbreaking, and the fact that Jade is in hospital abroad has brought huge emotional and financial strain during an already terrifying time.

We are setting up this fundraiser to support Jade and her family with the unexpected costs that come with a medical emergency overseas, including medical expenses, accommodation, travel for family members, and anything needed during what could be a long and difficult road to recovery.

Anyone who knows Jade knows how incredible she is. She lights up every room she walks into. Her quick wit, hilarious one liners and huge personality make her impossible not to love. She is fiercely loyal, endlessly caring and would do absolutely anything for the people she loves. She brings joy, warmth and laughter to everyone around her.

This situation is even more heartbreaking as Jade and her family recently suffered the devastating loss of her stepdad, Frankie, in August. The family are still grieving and facing something like this so soon after such a huge loss is unimaginable.

Right now, Jade needs all the strength, love and support we can give her.
