Emergency Appeal: Help Wassim's Family
Donation protected
Hi I'm Anna and I'm fundraising for Wassim, a father in Palestine. This is Wassim's message to the world:
Dear Sir/Madam,
In a world full of challenges, there are moments when help is not just financial support, but a real lifeline. We are a family from Gaza, consisting of 5 members, and we are standing today on the edge of the abyss.
I am Waseem, a Palestinian man from Gaza, 31 years old, married with 3 children: Nabil (5 years old), Mohammed (3 years old), and Taym (1 year old).
I am writing today from Gaza, from the heart of a place that has witnessed so much pain and destruction. We are a Palestinian family that does not belong to war, we have lost everything due to the merciless conflict after our amazing and positive life, as we lost our home and everything that could be a means of livelihood, our work and our personal belongings, as my children lost their education and their right to care, and we became refugees without shelter.
We had a simple house, full of love despite everything. But in one moment, the bombing destroyed everything we owned. We saw our house collapsing before our eyes, and we were forced to flee under a hail of fire, carrying our children in our arms, searching for a place to protect us. After a long displacement story filled with the smell of death, we took refuge in a dilapidated tent that barely protected us from the cold winds or the heavy rain.
This tent became our only shelter, but we suffer in it from conditions that no human being can bear, as it is full of insects and diseases that cause many diseases for us and my young children who cannot bear it with their weak and exhausted bodies. I am unable to provide even the most basic of their needs.
Our daily lives have become an endless struggle. To get water, we stand for long hours in arduous queues, while hunger gnaws at our stomachs. We search for free food wherever it is, because food prices here have become unbearably high. My children cry with hunger, and I have nothing to offer except the little that we get with difficulty.
The harsh winter cold makes their little bodies shiver at night, and we do not have warm clothes to protect them from the cold. Milk has become a distant dream, and diapers have long since run out. I cannot forget their screams when the insects that fill the tent bite them, or their looks when I cannot fill their little bellies with something to satisfy their hunger.
Finally, amidst the emotional pain and stress that war brings, it also brings unexpected financial burdens after the cost of living here in Gaza became the highest in the world. It finally prompted me to resort to this platform, humbly and lovingly seeking your help and support.
The campaign's goal will go to cover the following costs:
• Warm clothes and blankets for my children who are shivering from the cold.
• Healthy food and milk for my children to grow normally and overcome hunger.
• Diapers to protect them from diseases resulting from lack of hygiene.
• Covering the costs of educating my children in private education so that they do not spend years without education.
• A new tent to protect us from the harsh climate and restore some security to us.
• Simple financial support to secure the necessary water and food.
• Leaving for Egypt after the opening of the Rafah crossing to start a new life
I only ask for life for my children. I want to see Nabil and Mohammed laughing again, and to hear Tim calling me without being choked by illness or suffering. All I ask for is for you to stand by us, provide us with food to satisfy our hunger, and clothes to protect my children from the cold.
I appeal to you from the bottom of my heart to extend a helping hand to us. Any support, no matter how small, can change our lives. My children deserve a chance to live, and I know that there is still goodness in this world.
