Emergency Appeal for Saved By Music Foundation

Hi everyone, hope you're all well.

Over the past few weeks, we've been in contact with our friends in Mbale at Saved By Music Foundation, and they are currently finding themselves in an increasingly critical situation.

Significant flooding in the region at the end of the summer and continuing inflation and supply chain disruption have been contributing to extremely high costs for essential resources, causing ongoing financial stress on the organization.

Currently, there is no food supply in the foundation's store, and the water supply has been shut off at the center. Besides this, we know that school fees and utility bills need to be paid and that the kids need new clothes.

This week we were contacted by our friend and one of SBMF's board members, Derick. He informed us that Freddie, founder of SBMF and head of operations for the foundation, had been assaulted and robbed while traveling from a gig.

Luckily, Freddie has since been released from the hospital, and his condition is improving. However, there are now considerable medical bills that must be paid, as well as crucial finances needed to keep the foundation running day to day.

We are creating this fundraiser, hoping to crowd-source the funds to keep the foundation operating. The goal of €1500 will allow the outstanding medical bills to be cleared and will keep the foundation operating for one month.

As individuals, we are limited in what support we can give, but we hope that by asking our friends, family and wider community to contribute in any small way, we can collectively help maintain the critical work that SBMF is doing in Mbale.

We are aware that there are an increasing number of calls to action at this time, and we sincerely appreciate all support for what we consider to be a profoundly meaningful and necessary cause.
